Tom Hollis joined Vitex after 26 years of dedicated service with CNB Bank in New Mexico, bringing his extensive experience across various facets of the banking industry. His journey began with the opening and managing of an in-store branch, laying the foundation for a diverse and impactful career.
For nine years, Tom led the IT department, transforming the bank’s technology infrastructure from outdated terminals to a robust, fully networked system. This experience equipped him with a deep understanding of the critical role technology plays in modern banking.
In the past 15 years, Tom was responsible for all operational aspects of CNB Bank, serving as the investment officer, project manager, and controller. These roles allowed him to manage the bank’s investments, spearhead key projects, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations, all while maintaining a strategic focus on growth and efficiency. It’s these experiences that Tom is excited to bring to the table as he welcomes the new challenges of working with Vitex’s clients.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from New Mexico State University and is a proud graduate of the Graduate Banking School in Boulder, Colorado.
On a personal note, Tom is blessed with a wonderful family. He and his wife, Amy, have two biological sons, an adopted daughter from Bulgaria, and are currently raising their great niece as one of their own. They cherish family time, whether exploring the mountains or enjoying a day at the beach.
Tom is passionate about the outdoors. Hiking, running, fishing, and playing sports are his favorite pastimes. Although he doesn’t run as much as he used to, Tom has completed several endurance races, including a 100-mile trail race.
What truly drives Tom is helping others achieve their goals. There’s no greater satisfaction for him than seeing someone succeed and knowing he played a part in their journey. Tom is committed to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.
