Randy is the President & Chief Executive Officer of Vitex, Inc., an organization of member banks and bank management consultants dedicated to assisting executives achieve their strategic business objectives through vision, leadership, and effective selection and deployment of technology. Under his leadership, Vitex has grown to become one of the leading bank consulting firms in the country.
Randy is recognized as an expert in bank management and technology. He has authored articles for national and regional trade publications and has been asked to share his vision with hundreds of bank leaders at numerous state and national banking forums. Randy’s success as a speaker stems from his ability to communicate, in banking terms, the impact of emerging technologies on specific business challenges.
Randy has over 34 years of computer and technology experience, including 28 years in the banking industry. He has always been involved with leading edge technologies and their practical application in business.
Randy’s career includes 18 years with the IBM Corporation in various management and marketing positions. He has always had a vision for practical implementation of technology in business and sold IBM’s first supermarket scanning system. He managed the IBM banking business unit in Buffalo, New York, and also IBM’s Financial Services Industry support team in Charlotte, North Carolina. While in Charlotte, he developed IBM’s first Expert System used by the Data Processing Division with almost 30,000 worldwide users. The Expert System design and deployment earned him one of IBM’s highest awards.
Randy is a graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, where he earned an engineering and management degree. Randy is a multi-engine, instrument rated pilot, and flying is one of the many hobbies he enjoys away from the office.
