He consults with community banks throughout the United States and the Caribbean on a variety of technology and organizational issues. Over the past nine years, he has conducted consulting engagements focused on the assessment of current technologies, technology planning, vendor and software evaluations, contract negotiations, and operational workflow analysis.

Before joining Vitex, Bob served as Senior Vice President, Operations for First National Bank, a $640 million community bank in Rochester, New York. Under Bob’s leadership, First National Bank reorganized its operations management, installed image based check processing, on-line NSF processing, automated return items, customer profitability software, a twenty office wide area network and a variety of other system enhancements. Bob oversaw the developed of various policies and processes supporting data processing, financial servicing, data security, bank security, disaster recovery, and end-user computing. Under his leadership the bank achieved the highest regulatory rating for Bank Information Systems awarded by the Controller of the Currency. Along with his operating experience, he was responsible for the design, and development of a 32,000 square foot administrative and operations facility, and the construction of seven prototype design branch offices.

Prior to his First National experience, Bob was a Managing Agent for the Resolution Trust Corporation where he was assigned as conservator for several failed savings and loan associations. He also served as Executive Vice President and General Manager for Irving Services Corporation, providing credit card services for the fourteen Irving Bank Corp. banks.

Bob is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, in Business Administration. He also is a graduate of the BAI School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin.

Away from the office, Bob enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife Karen, his two sons and two grandchildren.
