F. GORDON HUBBELL
Senior Consultant
Gordon has over 30 years of experience as both a senior-level banking executive
and bank management consultant. He has managed consumer, commercial, and mortgage
lending functions, retail and commercial deposit operations, marketing, and information
technology. Additionally, he has consulted banks domestically and world-wide concerning
IT functionality, fit, and process improvement.
Before joining Vitex, Gordon was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
of AF Bank in West Jefferson, North Carolina ($250 Million) where he supervised
all lending and deposit staff plus support staff in marketing, analysis, and IT
areas. While at AF, Gordon implemented process efficiencies in lending and deposit
areas, completed Check-21 preparations, and improved ALCO/Marketing coordination
for promotions and pricing.
Prior to his Service at AF Bank, Gordon was a Senior Consultant with Alltel Information
Systems (now Fidelity Information Systems) headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas.
At AIS, he specialized in current and target environment analysis for optimum software
utilization. His clients included financial institutions in Europe, Asia, Canada,
Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand in addition to numerous domestic U.S. banks.
In addition to IT-related projects, Gordon also conducted and participated in general
management consulting related to product management, pricing, delivery system changes,
and customer relationship management.
Gordon's career has also included service as Director of Marketing with Union National
Bank of Little Rock, Arkansas; Director of Pricing and Product Development with
Sovran Financial Corporation of Norfolk, Virginia; Manager of Marketing for Consumer
and Small Business Segments for Commerce Union Bank of Nashville, Tennessee; and
Director of Marketing for Central National Bank and Trust Company of Enid, Oklahoma.
Gordon holds degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma (M.B.A., Information
Technology) and the University of Oklahoma (B.B.A., Management and Marketing). He
is also a graduate of the Management School of Bank Marketing, sponsored by the
University of Georgia and the Bank Marketing Association.
