BONITA J. DAVIES (JO) 
Jo has over twenty years of experience in the community banking industry with significant achievement in the areas of executive management, banking operations, and information technology.
Before joining Vitex, Jo served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Community Resource Bank, a $580 million community bank in Orangeburg, South Carolina. While with CRB, she was responsible for providing IT strategic direction and oversight of the operations center including core applications, item processing, networking, internet banking, and ATM processing. She was also responsible for the company’s information security and business continuity programs. Some of her key achievements include implementation of a check imaging system as well as managing a successful conversion to a new core processing system. Under her leadership, the bank achieved the highest regulatory rating for Bank Information Systems issued by the Controller of the Currency.
Prior to her service with Community Resource Bank, Jo provided consulting and project management services to several community banks across South Carolina. During this time, she assisted customers with several software application evaluations, and provided conversion support. Jo’s career has also included serving as a systems analyst for Banctec Financial Systems and NCR Corporation.
Jo is a graduate of Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Cum Laude, in Business Information Systems.
Away from the office, Jo enjoys spending time with her husband Michael at their cabin in the country. Her favorite hobbies are cooking, gardening, and fishing.
